Welfare

Approximately half of the John Laing Charitable Trust's budget is spent, each year, on retired employees who are in need.

Former employees are visited by one of a small team of seven welfare officers who identify and confirm instances of need. Support is also given to retirement clubs and a quarterly newsletter is produced and available to all retirees.

John Laing employees are able to keep in touch with former colleagues through the Laing Past and Present Website http://www.laingpastandpresent.co.uk/login.html

The Retired Employees Newsletter contains both current information and also archive material, which may be of interest to those researching the history of John Laing.
