BTCV

British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) manages conservation projects that inspire people to improve the environment. In doing so, the volunteers develop an understanding of their self worth and increase their physical and mental wellbeing.

John Laing has been working in partnership with BTCV for a number of years and has witnessed first-hand the benefits that the charity has made to many peoples’ lives.

During 2011 John Laing made a large donation for the sponsorship of BTCV’s long term Green Impact Project, which has the aims of:-

  • working with individuals and communities across London to encourage pro-environmental behaviour
  • measuring the impact of BTCV’s work by developing their existing Management Information System (MIS) into an innovative impact model to allow a better understand of the wider effects of environmental volunteering
