Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellow Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Adrian joined British Rail in 1970 as an Engineering Management Trainee.
In the course of his career, Adrian has had management responsibility for a wide range of railway activities, including operations, engineering and marketing. Throughout, he has been at the forefront of improving productivity and delivering change, initially as Engineering Manager, then moving progressively into business management and, since 1993, as Managing Director of Chiltern Railways.
Adrian is now Chairman of Chiltern Railways and Chairman of John Laing Rail.
Cath joined British Rail in 1992 as a General Management trainee, on completion of her training, she was appointed Assistant Station Manager, Oxford & Banbury. She then joined the Chiltern Lines in 1994 as Area Retail Manager (South) and continued her career progression in different sales, advertising and PR roles and was appointed to the Chiltern Railways Board of Directors in 1999 as Director of Marketing.
In 2002, her role was extended to Sales & Marketing Director where she was responsible for the company's frontline customer service, revenue generation and retail operational activities in addition to all passenger communications, marketing and PR. In February 2004 she was appointed Managing Director of Chiltern Railways.
