Business in the Community is one of The Prince’s Charities and inspires, engages, supports and challenges companies to continually improve the impact they have on society and the environment. This is achieved by working through four key areas: Community, Environment, Marketplace and Workplace; and embedding corporate social responsibility into the very heart of the business.

With more than 850 companies in membership with Business in the Community, John Laing has supported this unique movement since its inception 25 years ago. Our commitment to improving our positive impact on society has received great recognition, obtaining the Silver Big Tick Award for the company’s continued support of Trafford Hall.

We are pleased to announce that In 2008 we reached the Silver Band of the Corporate Responsibility Index, this is an excellent result for us and reflects all of the good work being done by John Laing and its' employees.  Results of all of the CR Index participants will be published in the Financial Times Responsible Business Supplement on 10 June 2009.  Please click to view John Laing's BITC Corporate Index Feedback Report 2008

In 2007 John Laing achieved a Bronze award in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index and was listed in the Sunday Times "Top 100 Companies That Count" for corporate responsibility.
